What's Good About Refresh, Copy Project, TCL in SCM? 16.5 Has a Few New Enhancements!

Comments(0)Filed under: Front-end PCB design, Allegro System Architect (ASA), ASA, Allegro, Schematic, SCM, TCL, PCB, Design Entry, Allegro Design Entry, Constraint-driven PCB Design flow, SPB16.5, Allegro 16.5, refresh option, copy project

There are several enhancements in the 16.5 System Connectivity Manager (SCM)  / Allegro System Architect (ASA) product that I’ve compiled below that I'm sharing in a brief post this week. Please take advantage of these new 16.5 capabilities.

Refresh Option in File Viewer
We now have the option to 'Refresh' the File Viewer. Right click in File Viewer Window and select – Refresh:

Copy Project
This option is available from the SCM 'Start Up' page:

Embedded TCL Command Window
Now the TCL window is embedded in the SCM project page (along with the 'Session Log', 'Violations' windows):

Schematic Generation UI Enhancements
We now have:
a. Sorting capability in each column
b. Filter capability in each column
c. Ability to select all the blocks for schematic generation

Please share your comments on these new capabiities.
