I've had a great few days out here interacting with users- especially those who have interests that are well aligned with my areas of focus as an Encounter Applications Engineer. Hope that in the future, Cadence can really develop a version of SOC Encounter that can run on the i-phone operation system.......hoho

JL- thanks for checking out my blog and leaving a comment! We've been discussing this over email within Cadence as well and I don't think the Cisco VPN client works with the VPN standards we use at Cadence, so no VNC on the iPhone for us either. Yet. :) I did notice a number of SSH xterm clients in the iTunes App Store, so maybe you could at least have an xterm over SSH?

They loved it. I personally do not have an iPhone. Why not? I don't need my phone to do everything the iPhone can, I didn't want to change cell providers, and - call me old-school - I actually prefer tactile buttons to a touch screen. Don't get me wrong, I have played with a friend's iPhone, and the interface is really great. Oh the whole, a very innovative product. Just not the right thing for me at this time.
