Very cool! If you want to try out the Incisive platform with MIPI Verification IP on just a browser (no downloads, installation, or licenses to deal with) go to www.xuropa.com and enter one of the Online Labs run by Cadence. I wonder if anyone has tried running this from a smart phone browser...

Hi Kari! Thanks for providing your iPhone rationale. I think I'm in the same boat in a lot of ways, especially changing providers.

JL- thanks for checking out my blog and leaving a comment! We've been discussing this over email within Cadence as well and I don't think the Cisco VPN client works with the VPN standards we use at Cadence, so no VNC on the iPhone for us either. Yet. :) I did notice a number of SSH xterm clients in the iTunes App Store, so maybe you could at least have an xterm over SSH?

Very cool post. I wasn't able to make it to CDNLive! this year and was glad to see folks from Cadence were able to actively blog the conference. I don't use Encounter but do use an iPhone and was interested to see the VNC app. However, we use SSH tunneling instead of VPN to allow connections back to our company servers. I don't believe the Mocha VNC app supports SSH tunneling yet so I won't be able to give this a try.

Bob, this was so cool I had to immediately forward it to my Encounter-using, iPhone-owning friends. They loved it. I personally do not have an iPhone. Why not? I don't need my phone to do everything the iPhone can, I didn't want to change cell providers, and - call me old-school - I actually prefer tactile buttons to a touch screen. Don't get me wrong, I have played with a friend's iPhone, and the interface is really great. Oh the whole, a very innovative product. Just not the right thing for me at this time.
